ZeroMidgetA lifelong gamer, Zero often looks to multiplayer games and online games for stress relief, and for community. Shortly before his daughter was born in 2021, he found a community, but noticed it lacked in dads actually playing games, and more so just “talking” about games. After linking up with the other founders of Dads AFK to play Tarkov a time or ten, he had the idea to create a space for people to game who also have children they need to attend to, so that everyone had the chance to hide in a bush for five minutes while taking care of a kiddo and not coming back to a friendly fire. In his day to day life, Zero spends most of his time around home due to his disability.

Disarange80A proud father of two, lifelong gamer, and someone who values quality time with his family. When I’m not with my kids, I’m either diving headfirst into a Souls game or playing whatever latest extraction FPS catches my eye. Don’t blink though, I change games quite often but have a few staples I always come back to. When playing single player games, the tougher the game, the more rewarding the experience.

TyrantTortugaA teacher, gamer, and dad of three, Tyrant has spent the last decade balancing lesson plans, late-night raids, and parenting chaos. He found gaming to be not just a way to unwind but also a space to connect with others who get the juggle of family life. After joining up with the crew that would become Dads AFK, he leaned into helping build a community where dads (and parents alike) could drop in, disappear to handle kid emergencies, and come back without the guilt of letting teammates down. In everyday life, Tyrant is usually splitting his time between his classroom, his dissertation work, and his kids, but always makes space for a good match, a good laugh, and good company.
